Inside The Maine Association of Broadcasters

Community. Communications. Commitment.

The MAB represents more than 125 radio and television broadcast stations in Maine. The MAB serves two constituencies: the broadcasters of Maine and the people of Maine. As broadcasters we take our role of providing service to the public very seriously. From airing public service announcements to providing breaking news and weather information, we know that our neighbors count on us to keep them informed and entertained. Emergency Alert System announcements, Amber Alerts to assist in the recovery of abducted children, fundraising telethons, closed captioning for the hearing impaired — these are just a few of the public services provided by Maine broadcasters day in and day out.
