Meet the staff of MAB

Tim Moore, President & CEO of the Maine Association of Broadcasters, joined the Association in 2022 following unexpected passing of long-time President Suzanne Goucher.

Moore grew up in Washington, D.C, and attended The Ohio State University, where he earned a B.A. in Business/Production & Operations Management.

Moore worked at WMNI-AM and WBNS-AM & FM in Columbus and WMAL-AM and WRQX-FM in Washington and moved to Maine in 1982, becoming the Program Director of WKSQ-FM Ellsworth/Bangor.

Moore moved to Portland in 1991 as the Program Director of WHOM-FM and Morning Personality. He was also Program Director for WJBQ-FM, WJAB-AM. In 2012, Tim was hired as Program Director for WERZ-FM in Portsmouth, NH and WTBU-FM in York Center, Maine. In 2015, he was promoted to Senior Vice President of Programming for iHeartMedia-NH, directing programming for all iHeart stations in New Hampshire, including WHEB-FM, WGIR-FM (Rock 101), WERZ-FM, WTBU-FM, WGIR-AM, WPKX-AM (FOX Sports 930) WQSO-FM NewsRadio 96-7).

Tim is a former member of the New Hampshire Association of Broadcasting, serving most recently as Treasurer.

Tim has worked for ABC, Barnstable Broadcasting, Fuller-Jeffrey Broadcasting, Citadel Broadcasting, Cumulus, Clear Channel and iHeartMedia.

A past Director and Chairman of the MAB Board of Directors, he is a member of the MAB Hall of Fame and the first recipient of the MAB Broadcast Achievement Award in 2011.

He is a member of the Maine Freedom of Information Coalition, a member of the Right To Know Advisory Committee and the Criminal Records Review Subcommittee and the Criminal Records Review Committee, the last two as nominated by the Maine Speaker of the House.
