Job description:

Do you consider yourself a storyteller? A news junkie who loves to get out in the field and talk to people? Then WVII and WFVX in Bangor, Maine wants to hear from you.

WVII/WFVX has an immediate opening for a reporter, who will become a valuable part of our news operation. The reporter will be responsible for gathering multiple stories per day, and airing them in an engaging manner.

We are looking for not just a reporter, but a true journalist who is driven to go beyond what meets the eye and tell stories that matter to people in a community that loves local news. One day you may be covering a story about a missing person. The next day you may be attending a press conference with the governor so willingness to be versatile is a must. A desire to cultivate sources and report breaking news in an ethical manner is imperative. You may be expected to work weekends/holidays/extra hours as necessary. There will be opportunities for live shots and anchoring.
